Gloss black wrap delivers the deep, reflective look of a freshly waxed factory paint job — without the irreversible commitment. Modern premium cast films like 3M 2080 Gloss Black and Avery SW900 Gloss Black hit jet-black saturation with mirror-level depth, then add UV inhibitors and a clear topcoat that hold the color for years under Florida sun.
Compared to a glossy black paint job, a wrap costs roughly 30–50% as much, takes 3–7 days instead of weeks in a body shop, and pulls off cleanly whenever you want your original color back. Resale value stays intact because your OEM paint never gets touched.
BMW M, Porsche 911, Mustang GT, Camaro — gloss black makes body lines pop and pairs perfectly with chrome trim and forged wheels.
Tesla Model 3/Y, Mercedes S-Class, Range Rover, Audi Q7 — gloss black is the executive default. Looks blacked-out without going aggressive.
F-150, Silverado, Tacoma — pair with matte black accents on hood, mirrors and grille for a stealth-but-shiny look.
We install 3M 2080 Gloss Black and Avery SW900-190 Gloss Black — both premium cast films with 7-year manufacturer warranties on vertical surfaces. Both go down with air-release adhesive for a bubble-free install on complex curves like rear quarter panels, hood scoops and recessed door handles.
Typical project price (full wrap).
Hand wash only with pH-neutral car shampoo and a clean microfiber mitt. Avoid automatic brush car washes — the brushes can micro-scratch the gloss topcoat. Drying soap is essential because spot residue shows hard on solid black surfaces.
Apply a wrap-safe ceramic coating (CarPro DLUX or Gyeon WetCoat) every 6–12 months to extend gloss life and add hydrophobic protection. Skip wax — most carnauba waxes will not bond properly to vinyl and can leave streaks.
How long it lasts in FL sun.
5–7 years on vertical surfaces (doors, side panels) when garage-kept and properly maintained. Horizontal surfaces (hood, roof, trunk) take more UV abuse and typically run 4–5 years before color depth starts to fade.
We confirm the exact shade with physical Avery / 3M color cards, finalize coverage and lock the install date.
Your vehicle drops off the morning of install. Full color-change typically takes 3-5 days; accent and partial wraps 1-2 days.
Certified install with 24-hour cure period before pickup. We post-heat all edges and recessed panels for maximum adhesion.
