Banner FAQ.
How long do outdoor vinyl banners last in the Fort Myers sun?
A standard 13oz vinyl banner with UV-stable solvent inks lasts 3 to 5 years outdoors in Fort Myers — even with the daily UV index of 10+ and afternoon thunderstorms. 18oz heavy-duty vinyl pushes that to 5+ years. Color fade hits first on the sun-facing side; rotating the banner halfway through its life extends usable color. Indoor banners last effectively indefinitely. We print exclusively on UV-stable solvent inks — none of the dye-based stuff cheap online printers use.
Hurricane or windstorm season — what banner actually survives?
For wind-rated installs we use 9oz perforated mesh. The small holes let wind pass through instead of fighting it, so the banner stays mounted in 40+ mph gusts where solid vinyl would tear or rip its grommets out of the hem. For any fence-mount install near the Gulf — Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel side, Cape Coral canals — mesh is the only material we recommend. We do not promise hurricane-proof — nothing on the outside of a building survives a Cat 3, including signs, including ours. We take banners down before the storm and re-hang them after.
What artwork format do you need to print my banner?
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF, SVG) print sharpest at any size — these scale without losing quality. High-res PDF, PSD or PNG at 150 DPI at the final size also works fine. JPG from a phone or downloaded from social media usually pixelates at banner size — we will tell you upfront if your file is too low-res and either rebuild it for a flat fee or recommend a redesign. No design? Our team builds banner artwork from your logo for a flat design fee starting at $75.
Can you install banners for me in Fort Myers?
Yes — we install banners on fences, building facades, lamp posts and trade show booths across Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Naples and Lehigh Acres. Most fence and pole installs are $75–$200 depending on height and access. Storefront facade installs requiring a lift or city sign permit are quoted job-by-job. Pickup and self-install is always an option to save the install fee — we include the hardware (rope, bungee, zip tie) on every order.
What is the difference between vinyl, mesh and fabric banners?
Vinyl (13oz or 18oz) is the standard outdoor banner — solid, waterproof, brightest colors, brass grommets, lasts 3–5+ years. Mesh (9oz perforated) lets wind pass through the small holes, also lasts 3–5 years, perfect for fence installs and hurricane-prone zones. Fabric banners (polyester) look premium with no glare for indoor trade show backdrops, are washable and lighter for shipping — but they are not for outdoor long-term use. We will steer you to the right material once we know the install location and how long it needs to last.
Can I get a banner the same day?
No — we never promise same-day banners. Standard turnaround is 2 to 4 business days. Print, hem, grommet and quality-check all take time, and rushed prints come out with banding, off-color, or weak grommets that pull out in the first wind gust. If you have a deadline, tell us up front and we will tell you honestly whether we can hit it.
Do you do double-sided banners?
Yes — double-sided printing is available on 13oz blockout vinyl (a black middle layer that prevents bleed-through) for banners that hang from a single pole or in a window where both sides are visible. Adds roughly 60% to the single-sided price. For feather flags and pole-pocket banners, double-sided is the default and built into the price.
