Jeep wrap FAQ.
Will the wrap survive off-roading and mud?
Yes — premium 3M and Avery cast vinyl is rated for the abuse a Jeep takes. Mud, sand, dirt, salt water and brush all wash off normally. The weak spots are edges where vinyl meets a body line; we wrap them with extra adhesive seal and a heat-cure pass. Pressure washing is fine if you hit edges at a 90° angle and stay 12 inches back. The vinyl actually protects the paint from rock chips and trail rash underneath.
Can I take the wrap off later to sell my Jeep?
Yes — premium cast vinyl is paint-safe and removable. On factory paint in good condition, the wrap comes off cleanly in a few hours and the original color is exposed underneath, preserved from UV the whole time. We've removed 3–5 year old Jeep wraps with no paint damage. Recommended removal window is under 5 years for the cleanest possible results — past that, the adhesive cures harder and removal takes longer (still doable, just slower).
Do you wrap the soft top?
No — soft tops are fabric and don't hold vinyl. We wrap the hardtop (freedom panels included), hood, fenders, doors, fender flares, grille and tailgate. If you have a hybrid hardtop/soft top setup, we wrap the hardtop sections only. For trail graphics on a soft top, vinyl decals on the rear corner panels and spare tire cover work — but the canopy itself stays fabric.
How does Jeep wrap pricing compare to a paint job?
A full Wrangler color change runs $1,800–$3,800 in vinyl vs $6,000–$12,000 for a quality paint job. Paint locks you into the color and kills resale value. Vinyl comes off when you sell, lets you switch colors every few years and protects the paint underneath from trail rash. For Jeep owners who change accessories and looks often, vinyl is the obvious math.
Can you match wrap to my OEM color so trim and door jams blend?
Yes — 3M and Avery both produce match-to-OEM colors for popular Jeep paint codes (Granite Crystal, Sting Gray, Firecracker Red, Sarge Green, Hydro Blue and more). We can also wrap interior door jams and the inside of the hood for a factory-style finish so opening doors doesn't reveal a color mismatch. Add about 4 hours of install time for full jam coverage.
How long does install take for a full Wrangler wrap?
Two-door Wrangler in 2 days. Four-door Wrangler Unlimited in 3 days. Gladiator (extra bed length) in 3–4 days. Hood-only or roof-only in 1 day. Trim accent kits in 1 day. Total project from design approval to drive-off is typically 5–10 business days. We never promise same-day install.
What's the warranty on a Jeep wrap?
Material warranty from 3M/Avery is 5 to 7 years against UV fade, cracking and adhesive failure. Our install warranty is 3 years against lifting, bubbling or seam separation under normal use (off-roading included — abuse from intentional damage is excluded). For full warranty terms see our 3M certified installer page.
