Custom shirt FAQ.
DTF or embroidery — which one is right for my custom shirts?
DTF (direct-to-film) is the best fit for full-color graphics, photo-realistic art, gradient logos and small-to-medium batches where you want a soft hand and bright color. Embroidery is the premium choice for polos, hats, jackets and crew shirts where you want a clean, professional, dimensional logo that lasts the life of the garment. Most SWFL teams we work with run embroidery on left-chest polos and hats, and DTF on T-shirts and event apparel. We do both in-house at our Lehigh Acres shop — call us with your logo, piece count and garment type and we will quote each method side by side.
What's the minimum order for custom shirts?
For DTF custom shirts we usually start at around 12 pieces — that is where the setup makes sense per shirt. For embroidery we typically start at 6 pieces because the digitizing fee is a one-time charge that pays off across the run. We can sometimes go smaller for personal gifts, retirement pieces or proof samples — call us and we will be honest about whether it makes sense for your project. Bulk orders of 50, 100 or 250+ pieces get reduced per-piece pricing — quote on request based on garment and decoration.
How fast can you turn around custom shirts in SWFL?
Standard turnaround is 5 to 10 business days from artwork approval — DTF runs faster than embroidery for the same quantity. Rush jobs are possible for restaurant grand openings, sports tournaments and weekend events if we lock in artwork early. We do not promise same-day work — clean prints and tight stitching need real prep time. Being local in Lehigh Acres just means no shipping delays both ways vs ordering from out-of-state, and you can drop in for fittings, color checks and pickup whenever you need to.
Which garments can I order — just T-shirts?
We decorate T-shirts, long-sleeves, polos, performance shirts, hoodies, crewnecks, button-ups, work jackets, soft-shells, hats, caps, beanies and bags. Brand catalog includes Bella+Canvas, Next Level, Gildan, Port Authority, Carhartt, Nike, Under Armour and OGIO. Tell us what kind of business you run and we will spec the right garment — Carhartt for SWFL contractors, Bella+Canvas for restaurants and events, Port Authority polos for real estate and offices, performance polos for marinas and yacht crews.
Do you offer bulk discounts for company shirts and team orders?
Yes — per-piece pricing drops at 25, 50, 100 and 250+ pieces for both DTF and embroidery. Mixed orders are fine — you can run 50 embroidered polos for the office and 100 DTF T-shirts for the field crew on the same quote. Reorders use your saved artwork and embroidery digitizing file so you do not pay setup twice. Quote on request — send us a piece count, garment type and your logo and we will send back a written quote the same business day.
